Q: What about water rights and water ? How deep does a well need to be drilled to get good water ? Can one get an artisan flowing well in that area ? And power ? A: In regards to the water questions, your best sources of information would be Box Elder County or the State. Utah Division of Water Rights. To find out or more information from the Utah Division of Water Rights, visit their web page at www.waterrights.utah.gov Or check out their Interactive Water Rights Map. As far as power, you would need to have a power company engineer evaluate the site and measure the distance to where the nearest power is, how much you need and what kinds of materials and labor it will require. It will depend on if you want overhead or underground service. As far as we are aware, the property owner owns the mineral rights. As far as snow/snow depth, Box Elder County averages 45 inches of snow per year.
